Sorry I didn't get to blog this on time........BUT for the first time ever in history, Legally Blonde was broadcast on MTV today. It is the first time a Broadway show that is currently running has been filmed and aired on national TV. I just watched it this afternoon and I must say it was filmed well. The cameras were all over giving you multiple camera angles which I think captured the action really well. There were even shots from upstage showing the dance numbers from behind with the audience in the background. The cast was amazing and you could feel that they were excited to be performing. The energy of the cast combined with camera movement made it seem like the show was energetic and electrifying. Now, I haven't seen the show live yet and I know that nothing really compares to the experience of live theatre but this one I think was a good representation of the show. Let's hope it gets people into live theatre!
Oh.....I wasn't too keen on the Hills girls doing intro for the show. Well, ok I admit it, I didn't like them at all. I know it had to be done because it's MTV but the girls COULD have at least memorized their intros! OR at least make it less obvious that they were reading from cue cards! OMG you guys!!!!!!!! How hard is that???!!!!

Oh and one more thing.....one of the Hills girls said "check out the soundtrack" ---> it's a CAST ALBUM!!!! The people over at BWW are already having a fit about this LOL!
