African-American Lives 2

Black History Month is almost over. If you missed it on PBS, watch the fascinating African-American Lives 2 on DVD starting 15 March 2008. It features Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates, Jr. delving into the heritage of twelve notable individuals. He used DNA evidence and good old-fashioned research. Actor and genocide activist Don Cheadle found out that his ancestors were enslaved by Native Americans. I didn't even know Native Americans had slaves!
