Boston Pops' 125th anniversary at the
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts instead! Maestro Keith Lockhart will lead the famous orchestra in a tribute to 1930-79 Pops Conductor Arthur Fiedler featuring pianist Michael Chertock performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and John Williams (Pops Conductor, 1980-93) with famous movie music like
E.T., The Extra-terrestrial and
Star Wars. Keith Lockhart (Pops Conductor 1994-present) "will lead the audience in a sing along to
The Beatles: Rock Band, a fully orchestrated arrangement featuring some of The Beatles’ iconic songs synched to the groundbreaking game design by Harmonix Music (producers of the wildly popular game series
Rock Band) projected on video screens."
Idina Menzel is also scheduled to perform songs from Rent and
Wicked.
