Still on a post-Super Bowl high? Or depressed? Another sports-themed play is joining Lombardi on Broadway. Previews of the Pulitzer Prize winning play That Championship Season begin tomorrow. The play stars Brian Cox as the coach of a high school basketball team that won a Pennsylvania state championship. On the anniversary of their victory, he reunites with 4 of his players, portrayed by Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Jim Gaffigan, and Chris Noth. An all-star line-up if you ask me.
Opening night is 06 March. The play is scheduled to run until the 29th of May at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre.
