D-list Diva

I love pop culture; that's why I love Kathy Griffin. She dishes on EVERYONE in showbusiness, even Oprah! She is fearless and hilarious, although a potty-mouth. Her encounters with snooty celebrities are priceless. No wonder she is banned on so many shows. One of my guilty pleasures is her reality show My Life on the D-List on Bravo. My favorite "characters" on the show are her parents; unfortunately I read that her father passed away a few months ago. He will be missed. At least her show has immortalized him. I spent two hours last night laughing out loud watching season 3's first episode, followed by her new special "Everybody can suck it". By the way, Jim Caruso was mentioned during the season premiere. Kathy was having her first show at Carnegie Hall. Being a huge Liza Minnelli fan, she invited Liza to her show and was calling anyone and everyone she knew to make that happen. Alas, being a D-lister, Liza couldn't make it although she did send her a lovely congratulatory note. Which Kathy promptly put on the pillow next to her and slept with it after the performance. Bravo.
